@Groupe PSA: New Opel Mokka Already Driven by Jürgen Klopp

  • Successful coach enthusiastic about first test drive: “Super car!”
  • Brand ambassador promises: “You will have a lot of fun”
  • Second generation of Mokka: hot testing phase has begun

Rüsselsheim.  How can you inspire someone who has already experienced (almost) everything? By showing him a new Opel. In this case, the new Mokka. Just showing? No, better – why not involve him in the test programme while the second generation of the Opel Mokka is currently receiving its final touches. In this case, the well-known test driver in one of the pre-production vehicles is Liverpool FC coach Jürgen Klopp. The Opel brand ambassador had the opportunity to cover some early kilometres in a purely battery-electric Opel Mokka-e.

“Super car! You will have a lot of fun. You can’t imagine it. I’ve already driven it,” said an enthusiastic Klopp after his first acquaintance with the new Mokka in the video. The FIFA World Coach of the Year 2019 and former coach of the Opel partner clubs Borussia Dortmund and 1. FSV Mainz 05 is a real car and Opel fan. He proudly drives a right-hand drive Opel Insignia in the UK.

Jürgen Klopp has been part of the Opel family for eight years, charismatic, approachable and entertaining. He has played a leading role in over 20 national and international Opel TV campaigns. He is also a motivational speaker at employee and dealer events as well as an interview partner.

In the second generation, the Mokka is simply called Mokka – just like when it made its debut in 2012 – without the X in its name. At that time, the first Mokka surprised the world with its small size and its huge impact. The new version is likewise small and robust, but in a much more progressive, modern way – even more closely cut for driving in the city; even more stylish for the big appearance. Extra efficient, clear and bold, and of course electric. The customer has the free choice between combustion engines or an electric vehicle.

In the case of Jürgen Klopp, the decision seems to have been made: “An Opel Mokka, green and electric, such a great car!”
