Italdesign is ready to resume almost all the production activities at its premises located in the metropolitan area of Turin.

From next Monday, May 4, employees of the Pre-Series and Ultra-Limited Series Production (ULSP) departments will be called back to work and will join colleagues from the Research and Development areas, who have never stopped working.

The Moncalieri-based company will therefore return to an activity regime close to 100%: professionals who will operate on site will be added to their colleagues working from remote.

“We are happy to return to work at full capacity – CEO Jörg Astalosch said – also in the sectors of the production of pre-series vehicles and special series in ultra-limited editions. With extreme caution and having taken all possible precautions, we are now able to resume, among other important prototype and ultra-limited series production, also the construction of the special series of Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign, which was planned to be presented at the Geneva Auto Show. I would also like to thank all our employees, our suppliers and partners who have been able to face together with us this difficult period at their best».

During the last few weeks, sanitization procedures of the environments were implemented and all necessary, both individual and collective, protective health security actions provided by the Ministerial Decrees were taken, in some cases even acutest. Starting from Monday, all employees accessing  the company facilities will be subjected to body temperature scans, will have the obligation to respect the safety distances from other colleagues and will have to wear masks.

“Since the beginning of the health emergency, we focused on the health of our people – HRO Director Giuseppe Savino declared –  and as a preventive measure decided to close the company for a couple of days in the weeks prior to the lock down. Our dedicated task force has allowed us to manage this extraordinary situation in the best possible way and the investments made in recent years have consented us to be able to opt for the smart working right away, guaranteeing continuity of the services offered and relations with our customers”.

The Nissan GT-R50, limited edition created to celebrate the 50th anniversaries of the Nissan model and of Italdesign, will be produced in strictly 50 units and will be presented virtually over the next weeks.
