Read on to learn more about two current opportunities on the Toyota AI Ventures jobs board: Lead Data Infrastructure Engineer and Senior Full Stack Engineer.
Lead Data Infrastructure Engineer (Palo Alto, CA)
Nauto is looking for a lead data infrastructure engineer to help scale the company’s data infrastructure and optimize data pipelines and key data tools. It’s a hands-on role that will enable you to make a big impact, from designing and implementing data models to building out extract, transform and load (ETL) pipelines and stream processing architectures.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and four or more years of software engineering experience, preferably in data engineering. The position also calls for experience with data modeling in SQL; big data processing technologies like Spark or Flink; Hive or Presto; Python; and workflow processing engines, like Airflow or Oozie. Experience with Amazon Web Services EC2 or another cloud service is preferred.
Senior Full Stack Developer (Palo Alto, CA)
Nauto is also hiring a senior full stack developer with a strong ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Along with translating designs and wireframes to full-stack code using React or Golang, key responsibilities include developing new features for machine learning and AI tooling. You’ll also need to build RESTful API layer access to Nauto’s backend system, and reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
In terms of qualifications, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and demonstrated expertise in data structures, algorithms and software design. You should have solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with React, data structure libraries and GitHub best practices. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools, such as Babel and Webpack, is also important. It’s a plus if you have experience working with relational databases, such as Postgre and MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
