Opel unveils the second generation of the compact bestseller: as a Stromer, the Mokka is completely emission-free. The second generation of mocha is more efficient and compact than ever and shows everything Opel stands for today and in the future: “It’s fun, efficient and innovative in every way,” says Opel boss Michael Lohscheller.

the new mocha is short, it can accommodate five people. The design surprises with crisp proportions and precision down to the last detail. The bold exterior is characterized by short overhangs and a balanced, broad base.

is the name of the new brand. The horizontal Vizor stretches across the entire front of the vehicle underneath the bonnet and frames brand features such as the IntelliLux LED® matrix headlights and the characteristic, wing-shaped LED daytime running lights. At the center is the legendary Opel Blitz. The Opel-Vizor, designed by the design team around Mark Adams, will feature all new models of the brand in the further course of the 2020s.

is the name of the fully digital cockpit of the next generation with clear and concise information, focused on the essentials. The horizontal instrument display integrates two widescreen displays, of which the screen in front of the driver is up to 12 inches in size.

the Mokka-e travels purely electrically according to the WLTP cycle¹. The range can be further optimized with Eco. The 50 kWh battery can be recharged up to 80 percent in 30 minutes on a 100 kW DC column (the Mokka-e is equipped as standard). Whether wall box, high-speed charging or cable solution for the household socket – the new Mokka-e is prepared for all charging options from single-phase to three-phase charging with 11 kW. The battery comes with an 8-year guarantee.

the mocha weighs less than its predecessor. With the batteries installed deep in the vehicle floor, the torsional stiffness of the electric variant was increased by up to 30 percent. The advantages are obvious: the new mocha consumes considerably less energy and, with its agile and direct response behavior, ensures a lot of driving pleasure.

The electric motor delivers power and 260 Newton meters of maximum torque from a standing start. Immediate response, agility and dynamics are among its outstanding properties. Depending on their needs and mood, the driver can choose between the three driving modes Normal, Eco and Sport.

is the name of the second generation – as with his debut in 2012. “‘Bold and clear’ is our overarching motto,” says Opel boss Michael Lohscheller. For the first time, the model name appears proudly in the center of the rear of the vehicle, in a new, absolutely precisely designed and technical-looking font.
