Urban mobility is changing and SEAT wants to offer solutions which adapt to the needs of cities and citizens. And with the World Premiere of the series production of the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 and SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65, SEAT is strengthening its commitment to urban mobility.
The vehicles offer very different approaches to mobility, but highlight the changing face of how we travel around the urban jungle, and the different approaches required in the the modern world, where, sometimes, cars don’t fit in with people’s lifestyles.
The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125, the brand’s first all-electric motorcycle, makes traversing the streets of our towns and cities simpler and more convenient, and shatters the stereotypes surrounding traditional motorcycles. Its advanced electric powertrain better fits a world that is evolving and moving away from the conventional.
And while SEAT remains committed to vehicle manufacturing, the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 opens new opportunities – also as a service provider, responding to one of the major mobility trends of the future: the collaborative and shared economy. But private users are also catered for with this new SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65, as well as with the existing and already succesful SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 25 (formerly known as SEAT EXS KickScooter).
SEAT MÓ eScooter 125: destined for private use
The World Premiere of the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 shows the brand’s boldness and determination to meet the changing needs of customers as they try to navigate our urban streets. Underneath its modern, compact design is a vehicle designed to meet the needs of an accessible and convenient method of transportation.
The look is emboldened by its colour palette: the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 will be available in three exclusive matt paint: Daring Red, Dark Aluminium and Oxygen White.
Integrated into its rear wheel is an 9kW electric motor (peak power) – equivalent to a 125cc motorcycle -, that produces 240Nm of torque, giving the slick, city electric motorcycle a top speed of up to 95km/h, but more importantly a 0-50km/h time of only 3.9 seconds. Ideal for the urban traffic.
And the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 offers dynamics that set it apart in the market with a variety of driving modes: City, Sport and Eco, as well as a reverse gear to make manoeuvering simpler.
The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 has a range of up to 125km on a single charge of its 5.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack meaning that, based on typical usage levels, the vehicle should only need charging once a week for private users. And the charging concept makes the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 even more practical.
The battery can be charged when still in the vehicle at charging stations, but it can also be removed and plugged into a home power socket. The system makes the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 even simpler for fleet customers, as they can simply swap batteries over to keep the vehicle on the road with minimal downtime.
Practicality isn’t limited to performance and charging times. The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 also offers enough onboard storage for up to two helmets in the under seat compartment, or a combination of helment and other items.
And in an ever more digitalised and connected world, the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 enables users to track their vehicle using a smartphone app, giving information on position and status updates. Last but not least, SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 will also have 2 USB’s port so that your phone never run out of battery.
Motosharing
In addition to the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 destined for private users, SEAT MÓ will also offer a specific version for sharing companies. The sharing version will build on the key attributes of the private version, with some elements designed for the shared mobility: a top box case to store the helmets, a phone holder as well as a reverse gear to make manoeuvering simpler.
The sharing version will be available in the exclusive Dark Aluminium matt paint with specific decals.
SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65
Demand for last mile mobility is growing enormously as cities become more crowded and streets more difficult to navigate. The introduction of the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 builds on SEAT’s desire to offer solutions for all customers.
Front and rear lights, as well as a brake light and side/rear reflector increase visibility, while the front drum brake and rear electronic brake improve safety. The SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 will be available with an exclusive Daring Red matt paint.
The SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 helps keep more people mobile. The fleet-specific design means range increases to 65 km because of its larger 551Wh battery pack, comfort is underpinned with tubeless pneumatic tyres and the rear wheel integrates a electronic brake. The SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 is one of the most robust eKickScooter in the market, designed and developed to last. In order to meet with the regulations in some markets and especially in Germany – one of the stricter countries in terms of eKickScooter regulations -, the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 will have a maximum speed of 20km/h.
The SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 offers a nominal power of 350 W, which is enough energy to conquer the climbing angle of up to 20 degrees.
In order to offer even more versatility, SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 will allow user to choose between three driving modes – Eco, Drive and Sport.
As mobility models continue to shift and evolve, SEAT is determined to offer the vehicles that will keep people moving, and the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 as well as the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65 provide a mode of transport that meets the demands of our cities and urban areas.
Note: In addition to the new SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 65, which offers a long range, SEAT is also offering the SEAT MÓ eKickScooter 25 (25km range, 25km/h top speed).
