DETROIT (Reuters) – General Motors Co GM.N is not looking for “a short-term pop” as it relates to its corporate structure, the Detroit automaker’s chief executive said on Monday when asked about a spinoff of its electric vehicle assets.
“As I’ve said many times, we will always do what’s in the best interest of our shareholders over the long term, not necessarily for a short-term pop,” Mary Barra said in an appearance at an RBC conference.
