McLaren Group today announces the appointment of Chris Hicks to the role of Chief Information Officer.

Chris joined the luxury automotive, motorsport and technology Group in January 2020 as Director of Technology Services and takes up his new role with immediate effect.

Prior to joining McLaren, Chris held technology leadership positions at GfK, a leading market research and data analytics company, and AJW Group, a leading aviation and aerospace company.

Over the last year, Chis has led several major initiatives within McLaren such as the rapid rollout of remote working.

In addition, he has led the rollout of Darktrace Al cyber capabilities to protect McLaren’s dynamic network and prevent advanced email threats, upgrades to McLaren’s Dell Technologies infrastructure, expansion and adoption of collaboration capabilities and the pilot of Splunk analytics.

In his role, Chris will oversee McLaren’s digital transformation across the Group’s fast-moving businesses and global operations and will lead on collaborating with the Group’s technology Partners and providers.

His experience in delivering innovative automation and digital transformation programmes including hybrid cloud, the adoption of as-a-service solutions, cyber and data security capabilities in highly regulated environments and his expertise in leveraging data to drive innovation will be of tremendous value to McLaren.
