Luxury British supercar maker McLaren Automotive has appointed Gareth Dunsmore as Chief Marketing Officer.
Gareth will be part of McLaren’s executive team, heading-up global marketing, luxury brand strategy, brand and lifestyle events and the PURE McLaren experiences programme. He will also lead McLaren’s focus on growing merchandising, licensing and partnerships and Automotive’s Customer Racing motorsport programme.
Bringing extensive automotive industry experience, Gareth will also lead on product strategy including the transition towards electrification with McLaren having just unveiled its new lightweight series production high-performance hybrid supercar, the McLaren Artura.
Gareth will report directly into McLaren Automotive Chief Executive Officer Mike Flewitt following the departure of Jolyon Nash, Executive Director for Sales and Marketing, who stepped down earlier this year.

The Artura is the first McLaren to benefit from the McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). The MCLA is designed, developed and manufactured at the McLaren Composites Technology Centre in the Sheffield region of England using world-first processes and will spearhead the brand’s electrified future.
