Customers love the new Tiguan Allspace for its impressive 1,920 litres of storage and the option of carrying up to seven passengers. The long version of the best-selling Tiguan also stands out with its modified design, new operating and assistance systems, innovative new features like the interactive “IQ.LIGHT – LED matrix headlights” and new touch-sensitive controls for the automatic air conditioning, which comes as standard. The Tiguan Allspace gives customers a choice between three equipment lines (Life, Elegance and R-Line), five engines (three TSI and two TDI engines), and front and four-wheel drive. The new Tiguan Allspace is available to order now. Visually, it features a modified front, which has been extended to 4,723 mm (an extra 22 mm) for design purposes. The generous interior dimensions remain unchanged. The long version of the Tiguan comes with the new optional “IQ.LIGHT – LED matrix headlights” and dynamic indicators. Also new is an optional continuous LED light bar as a linking element between the front headlights.
The array of equipment in the Tiguan Allspace has been redesigned. It now includes the “Life”, “Elegance” and “R-Line” versions. All three model versions have improved equipment as standard. Among the improvements for the German market are a new multifunctional leather steering wheel, “Light Assist” headlight control system, an infotainment system with at least a 6.5-inch display, online services, “ACC” Adaptive Cruise Control, and the “Front Assist” emergency brake assistant. The “Elegance” line features many chrome elements on the inside and outside, as well as 19-inch alloy wheels.
Sporty drivers will order the “R-Line” version of the Tiguan Allspace. This includes a multifunctional, leather sports steering wheel with touch controls and “R-Line” logo, “Carbon Grey” decorative inserts, “Digital Cockpit Pro”, and 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels. The exterior of the “R-Line” can also be customised with the “Black Style” design package. Selected attachments are retained in black, giving the Tiguan Allspace a sporty and elegant character.
The new Tiguan Allspace is available with five efficient and powerful engines: the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel direct injection engines (TDI) generating 110 kW (150 PS) and 147 kW (200 PS) are coupled with a double SCR catalytic converter with double AdBlue injection (twin dosing). The 1.5-litre TSI with 110 kW (150 PS) and 6-speed manual gearbox (optional 7-speed DSG) has a cylinder deactivation function (ACT). The two 2.0 TSI engines are coupled to a 7-speed DSG, have an output of 140 kW (190 PS) and 180 kW (245 PS), and come with 4MOTION four-wheel drive as standard. All the engines meet the strict exhaust emission standard Euro 6d-ISC-FCM. The towing capacity with 4MOTION four-wheel drive is up to 2.5 tons.
The entry-level price for the “Life” model with the 1.5-litre TSI, with 110 kW (150 PS) and 6-speed manual gearbox, is € 36,230.
