Valmet Automotive intensifies recruitment in the summer

This year, Valmet Automotive has recruited 650 new employees for car and battery manufacturing through online campaigns, meeting more than half of the need for a thousand people. Additional employees will be needed for both business lines already in August-September and therefore, online recruitment campaigns will be intensified during the summer.

With the current campaign, 350 people have already started in car manufacturing. Interest in Valmet Automotive’s open positions has been on a good level. There are now around 200 open positions for car builders, of which more than 100 are needed for production as early as in August-September.

Valmet Automotive is looking for personnel for two business lines with the same campaign. This year, 300 people have already been recruited for the Salo and Uusikaupunki battery plants, about 20% of them salaried employees. Currently, there are about 200 open positions for battery builders, the first of which will be needed in production soon after the summer vacation.

Meeting such significant recruiting needs during the summer and in increasing competition for employees in Finland requires intensified and more efficient online recruitment. Therefore, the online visibility of both car and battery manufacturing recruitment will be updated and expanded during the summer.

The information website www.carplantheroes.fi for car builders and the corresponding website for battery builders www.heippafossiilit.fi/en will be partially updated. Both business lines are also renewing their online advertising, and StaffPoint, Valmet Automotive’s recruitment partner, is running an online promotion campaign to support battery manufacturing recruitment.

Valmet Automotive is looking for employees for production, support functions and expert positions. Application forms for both car and battery builders can be accessed via Valmet Automotive’s website www.valmet-automotive.com. All jobs are permanent and Valmet Automotive trains all employees in their tasks.
