CAR is busy on the organizer side in Arendalsuka; debate on car taxes and electric car VAT, conversation about the car’s future and debate on new NTP with politicians and agency leaders.
The election campaign starts in earnest with Arendalsuka, and the car is a hot topic. Together with NBF and NAF, BIL is behind two separate events, and we are also co-organizer of the big transport debate.
First out is Political debate: Electric car VAT and car taxes, in the Transport Tent from 12 – 13 Tuesday. Host Camilla Ryste asks the question of what is most important, introduce VAT on electric cars or reach the 2025 goal? The panel includes Marit Arnstad (Sp), Jon Gunnes (V), Mahmoud Farahmand (H), Svein Roald Hansen (Labor Party) and Harald Moskvil (MDG).

At MØR Biffhus at 14 – 15 Tuesday, DDE vocalist and car industry man Bjarne Brøndbo leads the conversation about the car in the society of the future with the directors of BIL, NBF and NAF, Erik Andresen, Stig Morten Nilsen and Stig Skjøstad. The car is absolutely necessary for most of us – and both the industry and consumers depend on the car to be green and sustainable. BIL, NBF and NAF have clear demands on politicians about what it takes to drive development further in the next parliamentary term.

BIL is also co-organizer of the big transport debate, Tuesday from 20.00 – 21.30 in Samferdselsteltet. In this debate, the new National Transport Plan is the main topic and transport politicians and agency leaders take the discussion on the plan for the next 12 years.
