In this role, you will play a key part in helping the Perceptive Automata data platform team scale up critical infrastructure. As the storage, processing, and organization of data provides a crucial foundation for multiple teams, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact. Responsibilities include designing and implementing improvements to the platform and internal reporting processes to support expansion, as well as collaborating with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that data processing and reporting is accurate.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience, as well as two years of commercial software development using Python. You should also have strong software design skills and experience with cloud platforms and relational databases such as PostgreSQL. Excellent analytical and communication skills are a must. Familiarity in areas such as data visualization, logging libraries and toolsets, workflow orchestration, containerization, and noSQL databases is a plus.
The senior web developer will play a key role on the Perceptive Automata App Team. Your responsibilities will be to help develop, extend, and maintain Perceptive Automata’s data annotation and experiment framework. You will design, implement, test, and document software used by annotators to label data and by team members running research experiments. You will coordinate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the framework meets research requirements.
A bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is needed for this role. The ideal candidate also has at least five years of experience in full-stack development, and knows how to architect and design full-stack applications. You should also have strong Python programming skills and experience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks, as well as PostgreSQL or other relational databases. Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, web application performance profiling tools, or automated testing tools is a plus.
