@Toyota: Team USA, Team Toyota’s Jessica Long Wins 26th Paralympic Medal at Tokyo 2020

TOKYO (August 31, 2021) – At 29 years old, Team Toyota athlete Jessica Long won her 26th Paralympic medal in Tokyo, winning a silver medal in the women’s 400m freestyle S8 at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 on Tuesday, August 31.

Long, one of the most decorated Paralympians in the United States, earned her third medal at Tokyo 2020. The five-time Paralympian has now won one of each medal (gold, silver and bronze) in this year’s Paralympic Games. Long now has 26 career medals, including seven silver medals, since competing in her first Paralympic Games at the age of 12.

I knew that I was a first half swimmer, and I felt really good,” said Long. It never feels good to get touched out, but at the same time, with it being a teammate, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
