Michelin is pleased to present the new selection of restaurants from the MICHELIN Guide Spain and Portugal. Revealed today in the auditorium of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, the 2022 awards reference some 1,362 establishments throughout Spain, Portugal, and the Principality of Andorra, including 11 three-Star restaurants, 40 two-Star restaurants, 211 one-Star restaurants and 284 Bib Gourmand restaurants.
An illustration of the intensity and dynamism of the Iberian gastronomic scene, which impressed the MICHELIN Guide inspectors, the MICHELIN Guide Spain and Portugal boasts 4 new restaurants with 2 Stars in Spain and 33 that have been awarded a first Star – (27 in Spain, 5 in Portugal and 1 in Andorra).
Eight new restaurants, 6 in Spain and 2 in Portugal, are also highlighted for their remarkable commitment to more sustainable gastronomy and receive a MICHELIN Green Star.
Lastly, gourmets who are keen to enjoy a great meal at a reasonable price will appreciate the addition of 43 new Bib Gourmand restaurants – 41 in Spain and 2 in Portugal – to round out this selection.
