A story in pictures of the sporting events of the past organized by the Automobile Club Pescara.

The blog is available online pescaramotorsport.com which collects, in a digital space open to all, the best of the iconographic material regarding the main sporting events organized by the Automobile Club Pescara between 1956 and 1991.

The blog is the result of the patient and exciting work of archiving and scanning about 2,700 images, carried out by the director of AC Pescara Andrea Berardi with the full support of President Giampiero Sartorelli. The collection also includes newspaper articles and posters of the most successful motor racing events organized in the past: the Popoli Hill Climb, the Rally D’Abruzzo and Spiga, the recent Wheels in History event and – last but not least – the Pescara F1 Grand Prix. from 1957 with the original poster digitized in high resolution.

Some of the photographs collected are even more precious. Thanks to the association with a digital certificate NFT (non-fungible token), generated within a blockchain on the platform https://opensea.io, the most significant images have been made digital collectible objects that cannot be replicated with a guarantee of transaction traceability.

The blog wants to be a dynamic place where you can meet virtually, bring out memories, find motorsport fans. Not a simple exhibition, but a constantly evolving project, open to the contribution of all, members and non-members, fans of vintage cars or of the latest generation, lovers of competitive sport or regularity. Everyone can contribute by contributing their own material or by sharing images on social channels.
