All of this has given the debate over the EU battery regulation – a mammoth piece of legislation aimed at boosting Europe’s battery autonomy while cutting emissions – a geopolitical shot in the arm.
However, with the less-deadly Omicron variant now widespread and high vaccination rates across the EU offering increased protection, it seems as though the pandemic is on its way to becoming endemic (at least in this vaccine-hoarding part of the world).
