Kia will build a new factory in Korea, the Hyundai automotive conglomerate’s first since in 1997.
Kia forecasts that electric driverless buses and other urban mobility solutions — which it has dubbed “PBVs” — will account for a quarter of new car sales by 2030 with an annual demand for 20 million vehicles.
Kia aims to sell 1.5 million PBVs a year by 2030 to become the No. 1 player in that market.
