Disposal and recycling

When a car is delivered to a car collector, it is first emptied of all environmentally hazardous liquids such as oils, fuel, washer fluid, brake fluid, glycol and air conditioning fluid. Afterwards, the battery and tires are removed, before valuable car parts are picked out. The rest of the wreck is then flattened, and cut into small parts which then undergo a nine-time sorting process.
