ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING NEW CAR DELIVERIES
Following production delays caused by the global shortage of semi-conductors as well as the disruption in supply chain due to the lingering effects of Covid-19, PROTON would like to announce that beginning 1 May 2022, all orders placed for Proton vehicles will not be delivered prior to 1 July 2022. Based on the current schedule for the automotive industry, the Sales and Service Tax (SST) is expected to be reinstated on 1 July 2022. PROTON will also announce a new price list in due course, once all factors including the reinstatement of SST have been calculated. We apologise to all who are affected by this issue and would like to reassure everyone that we will continue to focus on maximising vehicle production number to deliver vehicles as soon as possible.
