ACI-ICS memorandum of understanding for the development of automotive sports activities

The Automobile Club of Italy and the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, the social bank for the sustainable development of Italy through Sport and Culture, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide further support for the development of automotive sports activities, through financial products and services provided by ICS in favor of ACI and its associates.
Since its inception in 1905, ACI has followed and supported the evolution of the automotive phenomenon in Italy. With over one million members, it is today the largest free association of citizens in Italy, of which it proposes itself as a representative and spokesperson at national and international institutions regarding the issues of mobility, tourism and the environment, also promoting sporting events. automotive.
Central elements of the agreement, signed by the presidents of ACI and Credito Sportivo and ACI, Angelo Sticchi Damiani and Andrea Abodi, are the “Top of The Sport” products, dedicated to National Sports Federations, and “Mutuo Light 2.0 – FSN ”, for associations and affiliated companies. To the portfolio of opportunities, the Institute has also added the financing of tax credits, factoring and advisory for the development of infrastructure projects.
The “Top of The Sport” product allows federations to take out a 20-year, zero-interest loan, thanks to the intervention of the Fund dedicated to the contribution on interest account, for a maximum amount of 6 million euros. The measure is aimed at investments related to construction, renovation, expansion, compliance, removal of architectural and sensorial barriers and energy efficiency of federal sports infrastructures, including the purchase of the related areas, as long as it is contextual to the implementation of the aforementioned interventions. The loan is also accessible for the purchase of sports equipment.
Beneficiaries of the “Mutuo Light 2.0 – FSN” are, on the other hand, the Associations and Companies affiliated with the Automobile Club of Italy, who will be able to receive a loan for the purchase of sports equipment and to build and renovate systems throughout the national territory. . The maximum amount of the loan is 60,000 euros, with a duration from 2 to 7 years.
