Automobili Lamborghini celebrates its naturally-aspirated powerplants at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Sant’Agata Bolognese 24 June 2022 – Lamborghini is at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with its Aventador Ultimae [1], the final model of the iconic V12 super sports Aventador, running up the hill together with Huracán STO [2] and EVO [3] models in a celebration of its naturally-aspirated engines before the Italian super sports car manufacturer unveils its first hybrid models from 2023 onwards.

Lamborghini’s latest Huracán Tecnica [4], announced earlier this year with a market introduction at the beginning of 2023, is displayed on Lamborghini’s stand next to Ristorante 1963: Goodwood’s Italian restaurant named after the year of Lamborghini’s foundation.  The aspirated rear-wheel drive V10 delivers Lamborghini’s technical and design prowess in a Huracán created for the best fun-to-drive performance together with everyday drivability. A line-up of Lamborghini Squadra Corse cars including the Essenza SCV12 and new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 is displayed outside the exclusive Drivers’ Club, each the inspiration for a watch by Roger Dubuis: a partner of Lamborghini Squadra Corse and this year’s Festival of Speed timing partner.

“Goodwood Festival of Speed is an iconic event celebrating automotive and motorsports creations, achievements, and the pure excitement of cars and bikes on road and track,” says Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “The roar and emotion of aspirated engines, especially Lamborghini’s inimitable powerplants, continues to be a draw to so many enthusiasts: this year we especially celebrate Lamborghini engines even as we embrace a future heralding exciting technologies and engineering solutions as we continue on our route towards electrification.”

Stephan Winkelmann is joined by other board directors at the Festival of Speed, as well as more than 450 Lamborghini owners and VIPs in its hospitality lounge next to Ristorante 1963.

The 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from 23 to 26 June at Goodwood House, Sussex, UK.
