Massimiliano Messina appointed Senior Vice President, Finance and Information Technology
Cliodhna Lyons promoted to Region Vice President, Product Planning
Jean-Philippe Roux promoted to Region Vice President, Customer Quality and Dealer Network Development
Thierry Sabbagh, President of Nissan Saudi Arabia and Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, assumes responsibility for INFINITI operations in the Middle East

Paris, France – Nissan has announced a number of senior management changes in the Africa, Middle-East, India, Europe and Oceania (AMIEO) region.
Firstly, Massimiliano Messina is appointed Region Senior Vice President, Finance and Information Technology. An expert in the sector with more than 25 years’ experience in regional and global positions at companies including GM, Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe, Messina will begin his new role on September 1st, reporting to AMIEO Chairperson Guillaume Cartier and will be based in Montigny-le-Bretonneux,, France. Messina succeeds George Leondis, who is promoted to the global role of Corporate Vice President, Product, Research & Development and Monozukuri Control, based in Yokohama, Japan. Leondis has successfully led the company’s regional transformation as part of the Nissan NEXT strategy, and will start his new role from September 1st, reporting to Stephen Ma, CFO, Nissan Motor Co.
Cliodhna Lyons, currently Director Advanced Product Planning AMIEO, is promoted to Region Vice President, Product Planning AMIEO, effective August 1st. Lyons joined Nissan in 2006 and spent 13 years as an engineer in the Research & Development function before moving to product planning, since when she has led the team that has defined Nissan’s transition to electrification in the region. Lyons will report to Francois Bailly, AMIEO Senior Vice President and Region Chief Planning Officer, and will be based in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France. She succeeds Marco Fioravanti, who has been appointed Region Vice President, Product Planning, for Nissan in the USA & Canada.
Jean-Philippe Roux, currently AMIEO Deputy Vice President for Customer Quality and Dealer Network Development, is promoted to CQ & DND Region Vice President, effective July 1st. Roux has been with Nissan since 2004 in a variety of roles across the Sales and Marketing function, with products across the Nissan Crossover, Sports Cars and Infiniti line-ups and in markets including Australia, Russia and the UK. Roux will continue to report to Leon Dorssers, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales and to be based in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France.
Thierry Sabbagh, currently Managing Director of Nissan Middle East and President of Nissan Saudi Arabia, will take additional responsibility for INFINITI Middle East, and is appointed Managing Director RBU Middle East and President NKSA, Nissan and INFINITI, effective July 1st. Sabbagh will continue to drive the Nissan NEXT business transformation goals in the region to foster sustainable business growth, building on the brand’s rich heritage in the region. He will continue to report to Joni Paiva, Divisional Vice President AMIO, and will continue to be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
