MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS-DEFENSE/. Russian forces have destroyed 247 warplanes, 1,522 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 354 air defense missile systems and 4,050 tanks and other armored vehicles since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said.
“Overall, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 247 planes, 137 helicopters, 1,522 unmanned aerial vehicles, 354 air defense missile systems, 4,050 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 744 multiple launch rocket systems, 3,145 field artillery systems and mortars and 4,192 special military motor vehicles,” the spokesman said.
Air-launched precision-guided missiles eliminated over 350 Ukrainian troops and 20 items of military hardware of the Kakhovka task force’s reserve on the premises of the shipyard in the city of Nikolayev, Konashenkov said.
The Russian Aerospace Force also delivered a strike with precision-guided weapons against a temporary deployment site of an artillery battalion of the Ukrainian 59th motor rifle brigade in the eastern part of Nikolayev to eliminate up to 70 artillerymen, ten 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers and over ten automotive and special vehicles, he added.
“Near the settlement of Dementiyevka in the Kharkov Region, a subversive and reconnaissance group of the 242nd battalion of the 241st territorial defense brigade redeployed there from Kiev was eliminated. Five militants were destroyed on the spot and another ten Ukrainian servicemen were captured,” the spokesman said.
In the past 24 hours, the Russian Aerospace Force eliminated two command posts near the settlement of Bereznegovatoye in the Nikolayev Region, an ammunition depot near the settlement of Seversk, and also seven armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army’s 60th mechanized brigade near Belogorye in the Zaporozhye Region, Konashenkov said.
In counter-battery fire, a platoon of Uragan multiple launch rocket systems was destroyed at firing positions near Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops eliminated 11 command posts, artillery units at firing positions in 102 areas, and also Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in 123 areas, the spokesman said.
Russian fighter jets shot down three aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, in particular, Su-25 and Su-24 planes near the settlements of Novoukrainka and Barvenkovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and also a MiG-29 plane near Bashtanka in the Nikolayev Region, the general said. Also, one Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force was downed by the Russian air defense forces near the settlement of Shirokoye in the Nikolayev Region, he added.
In the past 24 hours, the Russian air defense forces also shot down nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near the settlements of Dibrovnoye, Glubokoye, Lukyantsy, Brazhkovka, Liptsy and Peschanoye in the Kharkov Region, Snegiryovka in the Nikolayev Region and Karpovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Five Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missiles were intercepted over the settlements of Vesyolaya Tarasovka, Pokrovskoye, Konstantinovka and Lisichansk in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Kostyrka in the Kherson Region.
In addition, the Russian air defense forces shot down 18 Uragan rockets near Topolskoye, Dolgenkoye, Suligovka in the Kharkov Region, Khartsyzsk, Avdeevka, Karpovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Rodakovo, Smeloye, Zimogorye, Lotikovo in the Lugansk People’s Republic, and the city of Lugansk.
