- Professional driver seats for trucks and buses: The “Comfort” and “Luxury” versions of the Roadtiger aftermarket model have been certified LGA “Tested Ergonomics”
- Focus on ergonomic features, seat controls and damping comfort
- The seats offer simple and efficient operation and are suitable for different types of drivers, ideal for long distances
Grammer AG, July 14, 2022. “Tested ergonomics” – two words that are the culmination of a real endurance test: Both versions of the Grammer Roadtiger and its control panels were reviewed by the ergonomics experts at TÜV Rheinland, passing these tests with flying colors. The structure designed for top ergonomics and the extensive adjustment options make the premium driver seats the perfect choice for very different types of drivers and areas of use.
“In order to scrutinize the qualities of our Roadtiger, the experts subjected both models to a three-stage program in which the ergonomic design of the seat structure and the operating panels as well as their vibration characteristics were examined,” explains Dr. Andreas Diehl, President Division Commercial Vehicles at Grammer AG. “The results speak for themselves and show that in our efforts to keep drivers healthy we got a lot right during the development phase: Seat surfaces, backrests and adjustment options meet ergonomic requirements, while the seats feature optimum upholstery. The testers rate the control panel concepts very highly from an ergonomic point of view, and the vibration characteristics data also tell a convincing story.”
Grammer Roadtiger: Everything on board for maximum comfort
With their pneumatic suspension, the Roadtiger seats in Grammer’s successful MSG 115 series offer numerous intuitively adjustable features in the top version, such as adjustable shoulder and side bolster support, adjustable damping characteristics and seat depth, pneumatic lumbar support, seat climate control, heating and much more. All of this met with the testers’ satisfaction. The LGA certificate issued by the German testing institute TÜV Rheinland officially confirms that the seats offer everything needed to ensure healthy sitting combined with maximum comfort even after many hours of use.
This makes the Roadtiger Grammer’s second aftermarket seat to be awarded with the LGA certificate. It continues the strong tradition established by the Grammer Kingman – the first commercial vehicle seat to be awarded with the “tested ergonomics” seal. This success is a real “accolade” given that the experts from TÜV Rheinland are not easily impressed by mere data and specifications. Rather, the seats must prove their qualities in daily use.
