LADA – the new Granta is the leader in February

27 011 LADA cars were sold in February. In total, 48 542 cars were sold on the Russian market in two first months of 2019 that is equal to the last year’s level.
LADA is ongoing to increase the market share that in February exceeded 20% (according to Company’s estimates).
Cars of the LADA Granta family, having changed generation in the second half of last year, became the leaders of the Russian market in February, 2019 r. 10 574 cars have found its customers, and sales growth made 54,1% vs February, 2018.
The second line is occupied by the LADA Vesta family, 7 960 cars were sold in February. The model remains popular, every third LADA car sold in Russia is LADA Vesta.
Executive VP for sales and marketing of PJSC “AVTOVAZ” Jan Ptacek commented: “Despite the fact that the car market has not shown active positive dynamics in February, we managed to support LADA sales in the first two months and exceed the level of 2018. We make a lot of effort to offer our customers the most favorable and comfortable purchase conditions. We believe that the measures of the state support of the car market, which were launched on March, 1, will help to maintain the trend of car sales growth in Russia. “The First car” and “The Family car” programs have already proved their effectiveness and can be summed up with LADA special offers under Trade-in system”.

LADA cars participate in the state programs «The First car» and «The Family car»

LADA cars became participants of the state programs of demand support «The First car» and «The Family car», which were developed by the Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation and were restarted from March 1, 2019.
According to the rules of the programs, cars worth up to 1 million rubles are available for purchase on preferential terms, and the benefit when buying a car will be 10% of its value. All LADA models take part in the program.
The program «Family car» can be used by those, who have two or more minor children, and the program «First car» – by the Russians who buy their own car for the first time.
One of the conditions of the state subsidy schemes is that the benefit of 10% of the cost of the LADA model is provided when buying a car under the loan program. Savings of 10% of the cost can be combined with an additional benefit of 40 thousand rubles, which is provided when buying LADA Granta, LADA Vesta, as well as LADA Largus van or wagon using the trade-in scheme.
To remind, state programs «The First car» and «The Family car» were first launched in the summer of 2017 and were actual until the end of May, 2018. The programs have shown their high efficiency and were demanded by the buyers of new cars. Thus, during the period of work of the programs in 2018 (from January to May), 40% of LADA buyers concluded bargains with their use.
«Introduction of the programs to support demand, worked out by the Russian Ministry of industry and trade, from March 1, 2019, will have a positive impact on consumer activity and will sustain the domestic market growth. These measures have shown their high effectiveness in the past years. State support programs, that can be combined with exclusive LADA special price benefits, will grant to LADA customers exceptional conditions to buy our cars in March», – said AVTOVAZ President Yves Caracatzanis.

LADA to conquer Moscow and St. Petersburg

LADA continues actively cooperate and implement joint projects with Russian universities in order to attract talented youth. Early in fall, 2018, the joint project “Conquering Moscow and St. Petersburg” has been started, in which Moscow Polytechnic University and Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design became the brand’s partners.
19 participants received the task to show their vision of a new LADA car, which can capture the hearts of residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Projects of exterior and interior of the futuristic cars were evaluated by the commission headed by the Chief LADA Designer Steve Mattin and the Head of the Moscow division of LADA design center Jullien Druart.
The highest grade received works of the student of the Moscow Polytechnic University Ilya Ivanov, who received the opportunity to undertake a six-month internship at the metropolitan LADA design Studio. “Ilya showcased excellent skills in sketches preparing and work with presentations, vested a great interest during the competition project, and quickly provided quality information”, said the Head of the Moscow division of the LADA design center Julien Druart.
It is to recap that in recent years, LADA specialists together with universities have organized several design projects’ competitions, and some of the students, having participated in the projects, are already working as LADA designers.
A joint work with higher education institutions is a part of LADA`s large-scale efforts to find talented designers and engineers. The recently signed agreement with the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, AVTOVAZ career Days at leading universities, participation in the annual youth forum “Ivolga”, conducting of design projects’ reviews – are the stages of the program to attract talented young people to the company, which will be implemented in the future.

LADA Granta became a sales leader in January

In January, 2019, 21 531of LADA PCs and LCVs were sold in Russia that is by 2.5% more vs January of last year.
The most popular model of the Brand in last month became LADA Granta. 7 630 cars of this family were sold in Russia. The model became the leader by sales growth – the LADA Granta has improved its result by 43.6% vs January of last year.
The second position is occupied by LADA Vesta with the result of 7,078 cars sold that is by 5.7% more vs the same period of last year.
The LADA Largus family also showed positive dynamics: in January 2019, 2,375 passenger station wagons were sold (+4.7% by January 2018).
Just the reminder: early 2019 was marked with the launch of a new model LADA Vesta Sport to the market, as well as with the opening of three new LADA dealerships, complying to modern standards of the Brand, in Saratov, St. Petersburg and Ryazan.

LADA Vesta – Russian bestseller became more affordable

LADA presents new trim levels of cars of the LADA Vesta family: for the three body types are offered the initial versions, which became more affordable for the amount from 20 to 51 K rubles.
The sedan LADA Vesta in the new starting trim level Standard is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine and MT, the trim level features two front airbags, ERA-GLONASS system, ESC with functions of anti-slip control and hill-start assist, height and reach adjustable steering column, electric drive and heated exterior mirrors, multimedia ready dash panel, steel 15-inch wheels, front power windows. The price of the LADA Vesta sedan in the standard trim level begins from 594 900 rubles that is by 20 000 rubles more affordable than the previous configuration.
LADA Vesta SW in the new version Classic with the package Start, 1.6 l engine and MT is offered with two front airbags, ERA-GLONASS system, ESC with anti-slip control and hill start assist, height and reach adjustable steering column, electric drive and heated exterior mirrors, multimedia ready dash panel, steel 15-inch discs. In addition, the list of equipment includes air conditioning, heated front seats, cooled glove box, rails, spoiler. The spacious body of the LADA Vesta SW provides new opportunities for travel or transportation of various cargoes: the volume of the trunk makes 480 l (825 l to the windowsill line). The price of the new LADA Vesta SW Classic with the package Start begins from 676 900 rubles that is by 28 000 rubles more attractive than the previous initial version.
LADA Vesta Cross SW in the new basic trim level Comfort is equipped with a 1.6 l engine and MT. The list of equipment includes 2 front airbags, rear wheel disc brakes, ERA-GLONASS system, ESC with anti-slip control and hill start assist, air conditioning, height and reach adjustable steering column, height adjustable driver`s seat with lumbar support, heated front seats, electric drive and heated exterior mirrors, central armrest with box, combined seat upholstery (fabric+eco-leather) with the opportunity to choose gray or orange color, rear false shelf of the trunk, a set of nets and organizers in the luggage compartment, parking sensors, rain and light sensors, cruise control and speed limiter, multifunction steering wheel, audio system (with 4.3” monochrome display, FM/AM with RDS function, USB, SD card, AUX, Bluetooth, hands free, 4 speakers, and shark fin antenna), rails, spoiler, chrome door sill plates and exhaust pipe, 17-inch alloy wheels). Model LADA Vesta SW Cross is distinguished with increased from 178 mm to 203 mm ground clearance, plastic body kit, which protects the paint on the light off-road and provides a sporty look to the car. LADA Vesta SW Cross in the trim level Comfort is offered from 779 900 rubles (by 25 000 rubles cheaper than the previous basic trim level).
It is just to remind that LADA Vesta is the absolute sales leader on the Russian market in 2018, every third sold LADA car – a model of the Vesta family. Spacious interior and spacious trunk, high comfort level, multi functionality, strong galvanized body, gambling handling and good off-road capability are the main characteristics of cars of the LADA Vesta family.

LADA Vesta Sport – sales start

The flagship of LADA Vesta model range – LADA Vesta Sport – will go on sale on January, 31, 2019. LADA Vesta Sport is a unique offer in its segment, it is a car for those who strive for constant “drive” in life and on road, and looking for a model with a sport character, combining a rich set of equipment, sharp handling, bright and at the same time aggressive appearance.
LADA Vesta Sport is offered in the maximum trim level – Luxe. The starting price of the car makes 1 009 900 rubles. The equipment includes ESP, climate control, cruise control, multifunctional steering wheel, heated front seat, rain and light sensors, audio system. A Multimedia package is also available, which includes a rear-view camera, a multimedia system with navigator and heated windscreen. LADA Vesta Sport with this set of options is offered for 1 045 900 rubles.
LADA Vesta Sport features sport and aggressive appearance, which is formed by an aerodynamic body kit, suspension lowered by 31 mm and an extended track with large 17-inch wheels on low-profile tires. The belonging of the model to the speed world is determined by 3-D hood ornament with the name of the modification – Sport, placed on the radiator grille.
The interior of LADA Vesta Sport is emphasized with a black ceiling and made in contrasting red and black tones. The front seats with a strong lateral support received a special finish: red inserts on the seats made of Alcantara-material with “X-graphics” are combined with the ornament, which imitates carbon on eco-leather with red stitching. The logo Vesta Sport is embroider on the back of the seat under the head restraints. The steering wheel is covered with soft perforated black eco-leather. The same material is used in the design of the MT and parking brake lever.
The car is equipped with a forced LADA engine with a 1.8 l volume with a reconfigured system to adjust phases of gas distribution. Along with the modernized systems of intake and exhaust it allows to raise the maximum engine power to 145 HP. Engine is equipped with MT with the power drive gears.
The sport character of the car is formed not only with the power unit, but also with the special chassis settings. Sharp handling is combined with sufficient smoothness, creating the impression of a well-done, reliable car. LADA Vesta Sport received a specially designed brake system. The diameter of the front brake discs is increased, disc brakes are installed on the rear axle – all this provides a confident deceleration from high speeds. A special drive is created by the ESC system, which has received sports settings and the possibility of complete shutdown.
In total, more than 200 new parts and units are used in the LADA Vesta Sport. The development of the LADA Vesta Sport is a logical solution to transfer sports success of LADA from racetracks to public roads.
