AVTOVAZ signed agreements with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great
On February, 1, the delegation of AVTOVAZ headed by the company’s President Yves Caracatzanis paid a working visit to the Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great. The parties discussed the details of long-term cooperation to attract talented graduates to the company, as well as joint innovation and implementation of promising projects, the press service of AVTOVAZ reports. The General agreement on cooperation and the agreement on AVTOVAZ joining to the consortium of the competence Center of the national technology initiative (NTI) of SPBPU “New production technologies” was signed as result of the meeting.
Just the reminder: AVTOVAZ for the last 2 years has recruited in its engineering center almost 600 new specialists. It is planned to recruit another 1000 people in the next 3 years. This work is carried out to implement the medium-term development plan of the company, according to which, the company plans to completely update the LADA model range by 2026.
The President of PJSC “AVTOVAZ” Yves Caracatzanis: “AVTOVAZ has very ambitious plans. By 2026 we are to make 8 new models and 9 facelifts. For such a large-scale work we need young professionals open for modern technical innovations. Today I saw at the University the most modern technical base and burning eyes of students and staff. These are the people we are looking for our engineering”.
During the working meeting, the rector of the University Andrey Rudskoy underlined: “Our University is actively developing cooperation with the world and Russian leaders of the auto industry. Constant involvement in this work allows us to stay on the technological frontier, develop existing and acquire new competencies”.
