Plastic manufacturer Entec Polymers has partnered with Adopt a Charger and Rivian to support public charging stations at selected state parks in Oregon.
Over the course of the next year, Level 2 EV chargers will be installed in selected state parks as part of a pilot project created by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) and Adopt a Charger (AAC), a nonprofit that works to bring charging stations to public facilities by lining up sponsorships. The agreement between OPRD and AAC allows fundraising and donations to cover the installation of the chargers, and includes an option for the electricity costs to be sponsored by a donor for up to three years.
Automaker Rivian is working with AAC to donate the chargers, along with installation and construction costs, as part of its Rivian Waypoints charging network. Entec Polymers has offered to sponsor the cost of electricity for a limited time through its partnership with AAC.
