Hywin Holdings Ltd is giving “a harder push” to long-term investment products, especially private equity (PE), among its network of over 130,000 high-net-worth clients as the Chinese wealth management firm underscores the importance of diversified asset allocation amid a global market slowdown.
Investors nowadays are reflecting on their portfolios to see if they are “sufficiently diversified”, said Hywin Chief Financial Officer Lawrence Lok in an online interview with DealStreetAsia. “People are saying that we’re at a rather late stage of a global bull market, or even a recession, so global investors, including those from mainland China, are looking more seriously into products away from the public market.”
