New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.) today announced that its overall auto sales for the month of July 2022 stood at 56,148 vehicles.
According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “We continued our strong performance with sales of 27854 SUVs in July, registering a growth of 34% fuelled by robust demand for all our brands including XUV700, Thar, Bolero, and XUV300.”
“Our Commercial Vehicles also registered growth and exports were up at 32%. The supply chain situation continues to remain dynamic, and we are monitoring the situation closely,” he added.
Passenger vehicles: The company’s total passenger vehicle sales stood at 28053 units. It sold 27854 utility vehicles in July 2022 compared to 20797 units in June 2021, recording a 34% Y-o-Y growth. However, it sold only 199 cars (sales made in subsidiary company Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd) and vans in the same period compared to 249 units, showing a decrease of 20% Y-o-Y.
Three-wheelers: Mahindra sold 4351 units of its three-wheelers in July 2022 compared to 2148 units in the same month the previous year, recording a 103% growth year-on-year. These also include electric 3Ws.
Commercial Vehicles: The company sold 20946 commercial vehicles, including medium and light commercial vehicles, in July 2022, as against 17666 units in July 2021, recording an 18.5% Y-o-Y growth.
Total exports of the automotive manufacturer stood at 2798 units, as per the company’s regulatory filing.
