Indonesia’s Bukalapak needs a more sound strategy to compete against other major e-commerce ecosystems in the country, despite the impressive results it posted in Q2 2022, say analysts DealStreetAsia spoke to. In particular, the company still lags behind peers in financial services and number of users.
Nevertheless, experts say Bukalapak has all the traits required to thrive against competitors given its ties with formidable conglomerates such as the Indonesian media and tech giant Elang Mahkota Teknologi (Emtek) and CT Corp.
