Some people cherish dogs so homely they become cute.
The late iconic sports broadcaster Craig Sager felt that way about suits, and apparently luxury automaker Bentley feels that way about Sager, who died in December 2016 of acute myeloid leukemia.
Bentley is revealing a — custom made? Garish? It’s in the eye of the beholder — Continental GT Speed convertible bedecked in Day-Glo roses to raise money for the late journalist’s foundation.
Sager was renowned for suits of many colors that outshone the stars he reported on from NBA sidelines.
The unique car — decorated to recall the suit Sager wore when he accepted an award in 2016 — will be auctioned to raise money for the SagerStrong foundation he created for blood cancer research.
Athletes and other celebrities will autograph the car to make it even more collectible. The auction will take place in 2023.
