FAW Hongqi launched the E-QM5 Plus pure electric sedan in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province, on Wednesday. The carmaker provides three variants of the sedan at prices starting from 122,800 yuan ($18,080).
The E-QM5 Plus has maximum range of 605 kilometers while the E-QM5’s battery-charging and battery-swapping variants both have ranges of 431 km.
The car body measures more than 5 meters long with a wheelbase stretching to 2,990 millimeters, providing class-leading space for occupants.
To ensure customers’ safety, the Hongqi E-QM5 Plus is equipped with forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking systems, and adopts 16 battery safety technologies.
The model also allows remote interaction and provides intelligent connected features.
The vehicle provides a fuel-efficient electric system, which consumes 13.5 kilowatt-hours per 100 km.
The model premieres Hongqi’s self-developed dual-mode air conditioning heating system, which aims to solve the problem of low ranges in electric vehicles across North China during winter.
