Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd (MEML), part of the Mahindra Group, has launched its all-new cargo electric three-wheeler – Zor Grand – priced at Rs 360,000 (ex-showroom Bangalore).
According to the company, it already has over 14,900 bookings of the Zor Grand through “strategic Memoranda of Understanding with leading logistic companies like Mahindra Logistics, Magenta EV Solutions, MoEVing, EVnow, Yelo EV, Zyngo and more.”
The technologically advanced Zor Grand comes with the NEMO connected vehicle platform for fleet management and better operational efficiency, as well as an all-digital instrument cluster that shows State of Charge (SoC), range, speedometer, battery health indicator and the tell-tale lights. The vehicle comes with a 5-year / 150,000 kilometre battery warranty.
Commenting on the latest launch, Suman Mishra, CEO of Mahindra Electric Mobility, said: “The last mile delivery and logistics segment has seen a need for premium and high-quality electric vehicles to enable reliable and cost-effective cargo transportation. Key highlights of the Grand Zor
Mahindra Electric claims the Grand Zor has best-in-industry performance for an electric cargo three-wheeler – 12 kW – as also best-in industry gradeability of 11.5 degrees, which makes climbing slopes with load easier. The e-three-wheeler also develops 50 Nm torque.
The metal-bodied Grand Zor has a range of over 100km per charge and the lithium-ion battery has a charging time of less than four hours. The vehicle comes with a six-foot loading tray and OE-fitted 140/170 Cu. feet delivery box while a three-side-opening cargo tray enables easy loading and unloading.
As per the company, a Grand Zor user can save up to Rs 600,000 in ownership costs over a five-year period when compared to a diesel-engined cargo three-wheeler and up to Rs 300,000, versus a CNG cargo three-wheeler.
