Toyota subsidiary: Volkswagen and Japanese truck builder Hino Motors plan cooperation

Volkswagen and the rival Toyota belonging Japanese truck farmer Hino Motors supposedly consider one comprehensive cooperation for commercial vehicles. As the Japanese business paper “Nikkei” reported on Thursday, both companies intended to commence negotiations. Both companies wanted to come to the press the same day.

The goal is a cooperation in environmental technologies such as electric vehicles, the paper said. Also want to talk about an addition of the respective sales and production networks. Volkswagen hopes of Hino Motors strong presence in Asia to benefit, it’s hot. Toyota, Volkswagen’s arch rival, has a 50.1 percent stake in Hino.
