The Citroen Ami is the cheapest new car in Britain, starting from £8,095 or £19.99 a month on the keenest finance deal, and now there’s a new ‘My Ami Tonic’ model topping the tiny electric cars lineup.
Available to order now from £8,695, the new My Ami Tonic features a new khaki and yellow exterior colour scheme. On top of this, there are new headlamp bezels, which Citroen says are inspired by sunglasses, and bespoke wheel trims as well as ‘decorative’ roof rails.
Inside, there are yellow accents mirroring the exterior design, with the door pulls, bag hook and the two front recesses all finished in yellow. The khaki accents from the outside also feature on the dashboard storage bins and in the door net surround.
Citroën’s Head of Graphic Design, Mathieu Wandon said: “The combination of yellow and khaki, combined with clever technical features gives My Ami Tonic a playful edge, making it a toy for grown-ups aged 16 and up.”
Alongside the cosmetic tweaks, the My Ami Tonic gets a smartphone cradle, three storage bins, door nets, a central net in the cabin, a bag hook, floor mats and a connection device to allow for smartphone connectivity with the My Citroën App.
Citroen says the new My Ami Tonic replaces the My Ami Vibe as the range-topper in the Ami range and all existing pre-orders of My Ami Vibe will be fulfilled.
Just like the standard Ami, the My Ami Tonic has a 5.5kWh battery which can be fully charged in three hours. The battery powers a 6kW electric motor, allowing for a top speed of 28mph and a range of up to 46 miles.
