The global market volatility, rising geopolitical risks and growth and inflation concerns have made the fundraising environment in Asia more difficult than before but private equity (PE) investors in the region continue to be bullish on the market.
“The challenge here is you probably can’t stop investing even when the benefits are challenging. You will find ways to structure your transactions and that is what we have done,” Eddie Ong, deputy chief investment officer and managing director (private investments) at SeaTown Holdings, said on the first day of DealStreetAsia’s Asia PE-VC Summit 2022.
