New Delhi: Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), an Anglian Omega Group company, on Tuesday announced collaboration with Porter, a leading intra-city logistics player, to deploy over 5000 electric cargo vehicles by 2023 in Porter’s last-mile delivery services across India.

The OSM Rage+ EVs will further expand Porter’s fleet to cater to the ever-growing demand for last-mile delivery solutions and to achieve environmental sustainability goals, OSM said in a release.

According to Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, OSM, the higher savings and zero emission of the Rage+ make it favourable for companies seeking proficient and sustainable modes of transportation for last mile delivery. “We are happy that Rage+, a made-in-India electric cargo, will contribute towards Porter’s delivery fleet transformation,” he added.

Through this collaboration, Porter strives to act as a catalyst in building a sustainable logistics ecosystem. Currently, the company has over 1000 EVs as a part of its fleet and plans to expand 5x of EVs by the end of 2023.

Uttam Digga, co-founder and COO, Porter, said, “As market leaders we are looking forward to nurturing this curiosity and bringing to our audience a solution that helps them navigate through the routes sustainably. We are pleased to have Omega Seiki Mobility on board for this journey and we are hopeful that with their expertise in the auto industry, we will be able to encourage adoption of EVs in the logistics sector.”

Omega Seiki Mobility is currently running its fleet in 20 cities, doing more than 10 lakh Km per month. We will be using our PAN India network- Capability, experience, infrastructure and resources for providing the services to Porter with judiciously trained and experienced drivers having reasonable know-how to provide services,” Vivek Dhawan, Director-Marketing, Sales, and Service, Omega Seiki Mobility, said.

Manish Gupta, Vice-President, Porter, PAN-India Deployment of Omega Seiki Rage+ Vehicles, said, “This association is an important milestone in our quest to electrify our fleet across cities and reduce carbon footprint.
