Data Vantage: FinAccel, Wahyoo and NirogStreet snap up new funding

FinAccel, the parent of buy now, pay later (BNPL) platform Kredivo, received $94 million last week from investors, including Square Peg Capital, Jungle Ventures and Mirae Asset, last week, according to regulatory filings.

The capital injection is part of an ongoing Series D round in which the company seeks to raise up to $135 million. As part of the round, the company plans to issue Series D-1, D-2 and D-3 convertible preference shares to investors at $27.14, $31.02 and $38.77 apiece.

FinAccel had closed its Series C round at $90 million in 2019. The financing was co-led by Square Peg Capital and the Asia Growth Fund, a joint vehicle of Mirae Asset and Naver.

Indonesia-based Wahyoo, which helps local eateries and restaurants digitise and automate tasks, received $4.5 million last week from investors, including NH Absolute Return Partners, Northstar Group and Intudo Ventures.

It also issued Series B shares worth $2.05 to convertible noteholders, including Global Brain, Indogen Capital and Nitto Prima Ventura, according to its regulatory filing.

The company is raising $13 million in fresh equity funding as part of the round.

Indian healthtech startup NirogStreet has raised $6.8 million in Series B funding from Jungle Ventures and other investors.

The startup has also allotted Series B shares to investors, including Dubai-based CE Ventures, ICMG Partners and Wavemaker Partners, which had collectively extended it $4.76 million in convertible note financing earlier.

Indonesia’s AgriAku, which operates a marketplace for farmers, received $33.5 million last week from Alpha JWC Ventures, Go-Ventures, MDI Ventures and other investors. The investment is part of its $35 million Series A round announced in July.

Data analytics company ADA Asia received $10.3 million from parent Axiata Group last week. The unit acquired SingPost’s e-commerce arm earlier this year to strengthen its tech capabilities in the area.

Singapore-based skincare company Skin Inc received an additional $1.15 million from investors, including multi-family office ICHAM, last week, bringing its current round total to $2.08 million.

Fintech startup ipaymy allotted shares worth $400,000 to BEENEXT and Digital Garage’s DG Incubation last week.

3D printing solutions provider Structo received $1.3 million last week from GGV Capital and other investors, bringing its round total to $10 million.
