Entrepreneur First (EF) will consolidate its global operations and rescind its programmes in Singapore and Toronto, according to an official statement by the London-based venture builder.
The strategy shift will see EF downsize the number of hubs it oversees while zeroing in on key growth markets such as Europe, North America, and India.
EF added that it will discontinue its Singapore programme after its 12th and current cohort, which graduates in 2023. Future new cohorts in Toronto will also be rolled into a wider programme under North America.
“Entrepreneur First’s expansion to Singapore was a crucial milestone in our history — our first site outside London. Although we’ll be growing EF in other geographies in future, we’re hugely grateful to the country and the ecosystem for its warm welcome and collaboration. We look forward to supporting the companies that we have helped to build over the last six years to become established leaders in their fields,” wrote Matt Clifford, EF’s co-founder and CEO.
