Solar company SolarSquare has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round, while cricket gaming startup Hitwicket has secured fresh funding of $3 million.
Elevation Capital, Lowercarbon invest in SolarSquare
Residential solar company SolarSquare said it has raised $12 million (Rs 100 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Elevation Capital and Lowercarbon, Chris Sacca’s multi-billion dollar climate-tech fund.
The round also saw participation from existing investors Good Capital and Rainmatter and angels such as Vidit Atrey & Sanjeev Barnwal (Meesho).
In June this year, the company had announced a Rs 30-crore seed round led by Good Capital, along with participation from Lowercarbon, Symphony Asia, Rainmatter, Better Capital, and GoMassive.
Prime Venture Partners invests in Hitwicket
Hyderabad-based cricket gaming startup Hitwicket on Thursday said it has raised funding of $3 million (around Rs 24 crore) from venture capital firm Prime Venture Partners.
The firm said it plans to use the fresh funds to further scale up its features on multiplayer access to help gamers strategise in real-time and play against each other.
Hitwicket has over 3 million gamers across 100 countries with more than 30% users from outside India and from over 200 cities in India.
