Because of the problems with the Tesla vehicles, Tesla now had to go on an observation drive in California.
The e-car pioneer Tesla gets because of his supposed Full Self Driving System (FSD) trouble again and again and now had to demonstrate a model. Outspoken critics of the FSD system are also involved.
Tesla’s FSD system reaches level 2 and is therefore far from the full autonomy as the name suggests. The term autopilot was also heavily criticized. Meanwhile, the industry of the term Self driving distanced as Elon Musk claims him for his Tesla.
Deaths increased and complain against Elon Musk’s Tesla. In the meantime, the NHTSA investigations initiated and the California Department of Transportation DMV takes action against Tesla, which also criticizes the terms in advertising and products. The authorities now demanded the demonstration of the system.
For this purpose, the DMV called in specialists who have already been critical of Tesla’s FSD system. Tesla, on the other hand, had unsuccessfully refused. They accused the two professionals, Bryant Walker Smith and Steven Shladover, of bias. The demonstration took place at the DMV in Sacramento in late October, as was revealed over the weekend. Bloomberg had reported about it.
Bryant Walker Smith of Stanford Law School and Steven Shladover of UC Berkeley criticized Tesla for the terms and called for consequences. Police officers and a state secretary of state were also present in addition to the researchers. Tesla provided the Model Y vehicle, but the authorities apparently also rented a vehicle.
So far, nothing has been announced about the results of the demonstration.
