India’s Contentstack raises $80m in Series C roundThe round was co-led by Georgian and Insight Partners and participated by Illuminate Ventures.

Contentstack, a content experience platform (CXP), on Tuesday said it has raised $80 million in a Series C funding round co-led by Georgian and Insight Partners.

Illuminate Ventures also participated in the round, taking the total amount raised to $169 million so far.

“Contentstack’s ability to ensure customers are successful while also innovating at record speeds positions them as the leader in the CMS market,” Georgian’s lead investor, Emily Walsh, who will join the Contentstack board, said in a statement.

The company claims to represent brands such as Chase, Holiday Inn, Levi’s, Mattel, McDonald’s, Mitsubishi, and Shell and use the funds to continue to grow and recruit in the Indian cities of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, and Virar-Mumbai.

In 2019, Contentstack raised a $31.5-million Series A round led by Insight Partners, with participation from Illuminate Ventures and GingerBread Capital. In June 2021, it raised $57.5 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round, with its total venture funding touching $89 million then.

Founded in 2015, Mumbai-based Contentstack claims to have doubled the number of customers served and nearly tripled ARR, while maintaining a 97% customer retention rate, since its Series B round. The company also said it has grown to more than 400 employees and approaching 50K+ users in 70+ global markets.
