New Delhi: Vikram S Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor passed away due to a heart attack on Wednesday. He was 64.
“We are extremely saddened to inform the untimely demise of Vikram S Kirloskar, Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motor on 29th November 2022. At this time of grief, we request everyone to pray that his soul rests in peace,” the company said in a statement.
Last respect can be paid at Hebbal Crematorium, Bengaluru, at 1 pm on Wednesday, it said.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is a joint venture between the Japanese auto major Toyota Motor Company and the Kirloskar Group.
Vikram Kirloskar was a fourth generation head of the Kirloskar Group that started in 1888. He was also the Chairman and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems.
He was President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) during 2019-20 and was currently the Chairman of CII Manufacturing Council, CII Trade Fair’s council and Chairman Hydrogen Task force. Kirloskar was also on the Board of Trustees of The Rhode Island School of Design.
He has a graduate degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Vikram Kirloskar is survived by his wife Geetanjali Kirloskar and daughter Manasi Kirloskar.
