The employees wanted answers, but Katja Dürrfeld didn’t have any. In an internal webcast on the morning of November 15, the Conti CFO wanted to present the automotive supplier’s good figures for the third quarter to the workforce. The employees now wanted to know from Dürrfeld what specific information had been leaked and whether the company was at risk of damage. But the chief financial officer, who is also responsible for cyber security in the group, only told them what they had been hearing for days: the internal investigation was being carried out with the highest priority.
