On World Cities Day, October 31st, we launched the Hackcity Urban Design Challenge.
It has brought together over 300 architects, urban designers, urban planners, and landscape designers to construct next-generation cities with 100 self-driving Moving Spaces. Participants will share a $37, 000 cash prize and the Genesis NFT, with the opportunity to land the winning project.
Hackcity is an open and multinational event that welcomes entries from all over the world. So far, more than 100 teams from 13 countries have participated, including Peru, Canada, the United States, India, Australia, Turkey, Malaysia, North Macedonia, Sri Lanka etc. It also has partners throughout the Middle East, Europe, and North and South America.
Meanwhile, Hackcity is a professional urban design competition with an esteemed jury. It is an honour for us to have invited 10 of the world’s most renowned architects, designers and business leaders to participate on the Hackcity jury panel and share their expertise.
There is always a group of forerunners in every era, either leading the way or creating a new world.
On the trek to the future cities, there appear to be no giants’ shoulders to stand on.
As a result, PIXCITY DAO, along with ten elite architects, urban designers, business leaders, and over 300 city hackers, will be forerunners in exploring the path towards better urban habitats.
