The two companies Uber and Aurora are expanding their pilot project for autonomous driving in Texas.

The trucks drive autonomously on the Autobahn. Before and after, a human takes over. Veritiv Corp. is one of the customers of Uber Freight, which organizes cargo transportation. The provider of packaging solutions uses the autonomous freight service for its goods.

Aurora wants to expand the cargo business, because it is steadily increasing while travelers continue to decrease. The aim is to compensate for the lack of workers with technology.
