To promote a vibrant electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing ecosystem, the ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) along with the state government will be organising a vendor development programme (VDP) on December 8 and 9 at Apparel House in the city.
While the event will be inaugurated by deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala, the state government will be hosting the Centre’s two-day exhibition and convergence programme in Gurgaon.
There will be representatives of various stakeholders such as manufacturers, EV startups, battery technology companies and industry syndicates among others, discussing the current status of EV ecosystem in the country and the prospective measures of scaling up.
The event will also see around 25 exhibition stalls and sessions on technology, quality testing and government policies for EV.
According to the government, it will provide the opportunity and platform to EV manufacturers to showcase their latest products, technology and services to network with the potential MSMEs, industries and vendors.
“The government is pushing the EV ecosystem and to make the transition, we need support from all the stakeholders. Manufacturers, ancillary industries and other MSMEs, and startups need to come together to drive the EV push. This programme aims to promote convergence between all the stakeholders, give them a platform to showcase their products and designs, discuss challenges and way ahead,” said a senior industries and commerce department official.
The government will also showcase its EV policies and other initiatives such as Programme to Accelerate Development for MSME Advancement and Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy. Further, the new & renewable energy department will apprise the industry about the existing charging infrastructure and other initiatives.
