RENEE Cosmetics has raised $25 million in a Series B round led by Evolvence India, while fashion platform Virgio has raised $10 million in an extended Series A round from Prosus Ventures.
Evolvence India backs RENEE Cosmetics
Makeup brand RENÉE Cosmetics on Tuesday said it has raised $25 million in a Series B funding round led by Evolvence India.
The round also saw participation from Edelweiss Group and existing investors Equanimity and 9Unicorns.
The company has raised a total of $35 million across three rounds of funding and has a valuation of $100 million, RENEE Cosmetics said in a statement.
Founded by TV actress Aashka Goradia Goble, RENEE aims to use the funding to enhance its Indian and international growth by allowing the company to develop more products and marketing initiatives and grow its team.
Prosus Ventures invests in Virgio
Fashion platform Virgio has raised $10 million in an extension of its Series A round from Prosus Ventures, Entracker reported on Tuesday.
Following the proceeds, Accel remains the largest stakeholder in the company with a 16.29% stake, while the new investor Prosus will command 6.25% of the capital in the company, the report said.
As per Fintrackr’s estimates, the company has been valued at around $161 million (including ESOPs).
Virgo had raised $7.4 million as a part of its Series A round in November and an undisclosed amount of funding from Accel India early this year.
