Nexus Venture Partners backs Uniqus
Uniqus Consultech Inc, a tech-enabled global platform that offers ESG and accounting advisory services, has raised $12.5 million in a Series A fundraise for a minority stake sale.
The fundraising was led by Nexus Venture Partners and saw participation from Sorin Investments.
The funding will primarily be used for investments in technology and scaling the business operations and teams in the US, India, and the Middle-East, the company said.
Uniqus, which also launched its operations on Thursday, acquired SustainPlus, a firm that has been providing ESG consulting to leading companies in India, Europe, the Middle-East, and the US since 2017.
Winter Capital leads Uolo’s round
Edtech platform Uolo has raised $22.5 million in a funding round led by the UAE-headquartered VC fund Winter Capital, TechCrunch reported on Thursday.
Founded in September 2020 by Pallav Pandey and his brother Ankur, Uolo has partnered with more than 8,500 schools across India and currently reaches 3.7 million students.
The $22.5-million funding has come through an equity-debt mix Series A round, seeing participation from Uolo’s existing investors Blume Ventures and new Dubai-based fund Morphosis Venture Capital — alongside Winter Capital.
Uolo works with private K-12 schools to offer online learning programmes to middle and low-income families.
