Roz Ho was named chief connected vehicle software officer, Ford Model e, in October 2022. In this role, Ho works closely with product design teams to lead Ford’s push to develop fully connected, software-defined vehicles. She reports to Doug Field, Ford’s chief advanced product development and technology officer.
Prior to Ford, Ho spent more than 30 years working in software and technology for highly regarded companies, including most recently as vice president and global head of software for HP. While at HP, she led a team of 4,000 engineers to design and build a new digital ecosystem with cloud, data, application and firmware platforms which successfully connect tens of millions of printers and deliver new software experiences and subscription services to customers.
Before that, Ho held various roles of increasing responsibility in software and media. Ho spent nearly 20 years at Microsoft, first as a software engineer in Microsoft PowerPoint and eventually as corporate vice president, premium mobile experiences, where she led a team of more than 650 engineers and marketers in the incubation and launch of integrated hardware, software and services focused on social consumer experiences.
More recently, Ho was vice president and head of TV and media platforms for Ericsson; then senior vice president and general manager at TiVo, where she led the strategic product planning, innovations and business operations for the consumer and metadata businesses.
Ho earned a bachelor of science degree in Information Systems from the University of San Francisco and has been awarded multiple patents for software innovations. She was inducted into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame in 2018 and was named an honoree for Cablefax’s List of Most Powerful Women in Cable in 2017.
Ho is a member of Explorer Club, an international multidisciplinary society founded in 1904 dedicated to the advancement of field research and serves as a unifying force for explorers and scientists. She has funded and participated in several research expeditions in vanishing languages and archaeological sites.
She also is a champion of diversity and inclusion and is a former board member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley and AIM High.
